Lydia is the perfect host with every small detail taken care of. The location of Dovecote is brilliant and with many local amenities nearby. The accommodation itself is beautifully presented and every detail though of to ensure a relaxing stay on the Dales. Would highly recommend and will most defiantly be returning!

Just an idyllic place to escape to, in a beautiful location.
The standard of finish to the Dove Cote was exceptional as was the view from that large wall to wall window. No matter where you were in the living space your eyes were drawn to it. The huge comfortable bed ( with that view!) well equipped kitchen and bathroom are lovely. The gift basket of goodies that met us on arrival was a lovely touch too. We also felt that even though the main farmhouse was just across the courtyard the way that the Dove Cote has been designed gave a very private feeling. We also loved the hens and Doves and of course the two pigs whose very excited squeals when you walked up the path always made us smile! It made for an idyllic retreat.
Perfection
The space they’ve created and the ease of the stay. It was all perfect even to the point of fresh milk and eggs and a bottle of wine and nibbles left for our arrival. Personally I could of done with a microwave in the self catering accommodation but that’s just a personal preference other than that you could not ask for anything more

Our stay at dovecote was fantastic from start to finish. The accommodation was perfectly situated for what we wanted (a relaxing weekend away) . Everything was spotless! The facilities went beyond expectation. My favourite thing about it was the bed … it was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. Been 8 months pregnant I haven’t slept comfortably like I did for the two nights at dovecoat. I Didn’t want to go home. Communication with the host was easy but didn’t need much as everything we needed was provided! We will definitely be re visiting. Thank you for such a great stay!!

Grosses und modernes Zimmer, alles hochwertig, „nigelnagelneu“ (2018 gebaut), super sauber, breite Küchenzeile mit viel Platz, 2 Meter breites Bett, Nespresso-Maschine, schnelles WLAN, eigener Aufgang zum Apartment der gleichzeitig ein kleiner Balkon ist, Parkplatz direkt am Haus, die Eulen, Brachvögel, Rehe, die weißen Tauben, die Katze, die 2 Schweine und … die auf dem Hof frei umherlaufenden Hühner! Lydia hatte uns schon frische Milch, Zucker und Nespresso-Kapseln für den ersten Tag bereitgestellt => Klasse!
Everything about this place is amazing! I feel very fortunate to have stayed here. Made our stay in the Dales even more memorable. Great location, fantastic facilities and cant recommend it highly enough!!
the dove cote is a wonderful place to stay as a couple and would be perfect anytime of year.
Quiet, relaxation and comfort. A wonderful place to stay with everything you could possibly need. The basket of wine, crisps, biscuits and the eggs laid by the hens at the dove cote was an added bonus and greatly appreciated. It was nice to be left alone but with the added security of knowing the owners were on hand if needed. I can honestly say for the first time of staying anywhere that I don’t feel that there is anything I didn’t like.
